Professional branding. How do people see your business?
When it comes to your business, first impressions leave a lasting impression on a potential client or customer. What is that first impression you make? It’s that image that comes up when you google the company name, or search on facebook. Now, what could be more important than getting that first impression right.
I have dealt with lots of companies, clients and potential business owners over my career and I can 100% percent say, having your branding created by a Graphic designer is key to your company being received as professional and approachable. Giving you that little edge over your competition.
Your logo is going to be seen on multiple platforms, from your business cards to your clothing or your website. So it is important, it is clear from the outset when viewing your logo what your business does. Now this could be an additional tag line, or a part of the design which incorporates an element which is obvious, that is up to you and your designer, but is key to a successful brand.

Colour is just as important as the design, Lets think about a company for a second. If I say “Virgin” what was the first thing that comes to mind… It wasn’t the faces of the business, it wasn’t Richard Branson. It was Red & White, White text on a solid red background. This is how important colour can be when it comes to your branding, you may not be as big as virgin yet, but it is key to making your business looking professional and approachable. You want to keep to a core colour scheme, with a few other additional colours or shades for accents. Making sure they do not detract from the overall of the company. While we are talking about colour it is also essential to consider what you could do if colour isn’t and option? say your logo needs to be printed in black and white, can it be made to look just as effective?
Ultimately if you have a company, then you will want the best for it. So make your branding a top priority. Invest some time and energy into it and you wont regret it.
